Mike, a third-generation Reno resident, has raised his family and dedicated his time to enhancing the quality of life for every Nevadan. Mike and his wife are parents of three wonderful daughters, who all stayed in Nevada to work in the law enforcement, healthcare, and innovative green technology fields.
Mike has made his career by helping expand energy projects in the community. He will use his experience to help fix our affordable housing crisis so we can restore the American Dream. Mike will do this in three ways: zoning, permitting, and land acquisition. Even if the legislature can't fix all of it, he will leverage his position to further these policies at the local and federal level.
My background reflects decades of volunteer leadership. I served as the founding president of the Sierra Nevada Community Aquatics nonprofit, that brought the Moana pool project to life. I’ve also served as Chairman and Commissioner for the City of Reno Parks & Recreation, and contributed to organizations including the Caughlin Ranch HOA, Reno Neighborhood Advisory Board, Nevada Interscholastic Athletic Association, Reno Area Triathletes, Reno Running Races, and the Washoe County School District.
I love living in Reno—there is no better place to call home. If you’re tired of partisan politics and want someone focused on getting to work for the community, I would be honored to have your support. I’m running for State Assembly because I have a passion for service — community involvement is what I do. I care deeply about the future of our city and state. My goal is to keep Nevada the best place in America to raise a family.
